S.A.F.E. is a network of individuals injured or disabled by secondhand
smoke.
Our members include adults and children with chronic illnesses
and/or hypersensitivity to secondhand smoke or other environmental
pollutants.
Our members also include ex-smokers who, because of enhanced
respiratory sensitivity, must live defensively in order to avoid
secondhand smoke.
We make ourselves visible and encourage others who have become
ill or disabled by secondhand smoke to "come out of the
closet."
We provide peer support and free information and referrals to
individuals in crisis because of secondhand smoke and other environmental
pollutants.
We advocate for policies and laws which protect the public from
exposure to secondhand smoke.
Because secondhand smoke causes lung cancer and other cancers,
heart disease, asthma, and other illnesses in healthy nonsmokers.
The intent of this Site is to present an overview of the organization.
